Workshop and FSU present at the 2018 ACUI Regional Conference

Workshop and Florida State University is honored to present our ideas on inclusive placemaking at the 2018 ACUI Regional Conference. Student unions are at the forefront of welcoming students from all walks of life to campus. Unions that appeal to a diverset of students offer a mix of experiences, activities, and messages that confer a sense of inclusiveness and unwavering hospitality.

Inclusion placemaking is a collaborative process for student union planning that unites diverse voices in the design process and reinforces the message that “this place is for everyone,” through sophisticated, state-of-the-art environmental branding. This session tells the story of inclusion placemaking for the redesign of a student union that cherishes and celebrates its diversity: Florida State University’s Oglesby Union.
